Self-confidence and leadership skills are some of the most important skills a teenager can develop to ensure success in post-secondary school, work and life. Developing these skills at summer camp is the perfect way to spend a summer. This 3-week +1 program is designed for a teenager who loves the outdoors and would like to develop strong leadership skills. During the first days of training, participants will participate in interesting and interactive staff training workshops and activities designed to challenge and motivate them to reach their leadership potential. Programming will include communication, conflict resolution, goal setting, teamwork, program planning and healthy child development. Following the initial training days, participants will have a week shadowing an experienced counsellor during a day camp week and during an overnight camp week. The second 2 weeks can be selected out of the available weeks of camp. This program opens the opportunity for successful candidates to apply to be part of the full-time camp staff team in future years. This program also has the opportunity to gain volunteer hours.
Open to students finished Grades 8, 9 & 10, LEAD participants will earn:
- Emergency First Aid
- ORCKA Canoeing Level 1
- 3 weeks of camp experience training
- 1 week of overnight camp
- Certificate of completion

LEAD 2

Youth who have completed Grade 9 or 10 and LEAD 1 are invited to join this second level program. This is a 3-week+1 program for youth who want to continue to explore and develop their leadership ability, take on greater responsibility in a camp setting, learn how to facilitate programming and increase their formal certifications, including:
- ORCKA Level 2 or 3
- Low Ropes leadership training with AdventureWorks
- 3 weeks of camp experience training
- 1 week of overnight camp experience
- Certificate of completion
This program opens the opportunity for successful candidates to apply to be part of the full-time camp staff team in future years.

Emergency First Aid One-Day Course

Lambton Centre has loaded this week with all your favourite camp activities, plus some new and exciting adventures. The week will include classic camp activities such as swimming, archery, low element challenge course, crafts and many fun and exciting games. Experience the wonders to be found in Nature’s Classroom as you explore the trails, wildflower meadows, butterfly breeding program and shoreline marsh. Watch for special guests along the way as well! No need to pack a lunch; we will make one for you. Day camps run 9am-4pm Monday-Friday. Please selected the extended care options if you require before or after care (8:30am-4:30pm).

Wilderness Overnight Camp

Spend a week with a small group of campers learning bush craft, survival skills, orienteering and more! Sleep in a tent at our wilderness campsites, hike the trails, build fires, canoe on the lake and get dirty all while making amazing memories and friendships. Get back to nature with our Wilderness Overnight Camp! Don’t worry, though…we’ll hike into the main camp to swim, complete team challenges, and have even more fun! This camp has been designed for those ages 10+ who want to challenge themselves in an outdoor environment.
Adventure Overnight Camp

The Great Boat Build!

Join David Vine and the Stem2Stern program and build a boat from start to finish!
Stem2Stern is a community organization founded in the summer of 2018. “Our aim is to demonstrate the value of the trades to young people and round out their life experiences. Stem2Stern is on a mission to engage youth with hands-on wooden boat building. While participants gain real-world knowledge and woodworking experience, they also have the opportunity to work as a team and collaborate with others.”
This overnight camp is limited to 16 participants, ages 10+, who will spend the week building a boat together and participating in traditional camp activities. The focus will be on boat building and relationship building. At the end of the week, parents and caregivers are invited to the official boat launch to see the finished boat in action!
Seedlings One Night Camp

Girls Week Overnight Camp

Campers will have their creativity inspired as they explore different creative mediums. Explore different types of art, music, drama, dance and so much more! Guest artists will mentor and teach as our campers dive into different artistic experiences. Previous workshops have included:

Sports Spectacular Overnight Camp
