Outdoor Education
Creating programs that enhance teamwork and confidence
Lambton Centre has been offering, fun, and fascinating school trips since 2000. Outdoor Education at Lambton Centre is offered in May and June. Our unique site gives students of all ages the opportunity to explore Carolinian forest, ravine woodlot and marshy beachfront, all while participating in activities designed to meet the individual needs of each class.
Standard programs are implemented to develop the following key skills
- Teamwork
- Problem-solving
- Confidence
- Community trust-building
- Leadership development
- Environmental awareness
Our program staff seek to place programmed emphasis on group needs
as identified by the classroom teachers and the students themselves!
All groups provide their own meals and snacks. A fire pit is available to have an old-fashioned weenie roast for lunch! Class chaperones of all kinds are welcome, the quality of the day trip experience is heightened by the enthusiastic participation of teachers, leaders, parents, guardians and friends alike!
At Lambton Centre, we offer a wide variety of sessions for you to try out. Each trip will typically consist of 3 or 4 activities and a wide-game. We will plan a schedule around your schedule. Whether you want to fit everything into a school day, extend it to a full day worth of activities or even spend the night at Lambton Centre, we have the right team and the right prices to make your trip an enjoyable one!
Curriculum Aligned Programming
Curriculum aligned programming is available upon request for K-12 classes or groups. Let us know which subjects or units you are working on and we can work with you to develop a program that can connect to the learning students are doing once they return to the classroom!
